The chic design of the Blue Aztec Travel Backgammon Set is inspired by Alexandra’s adventures in Latin America. Alexandra was interested in recreating the effect of wood on leather. Featuring an exact reproduction of the tessellated marquetry on our tournament-sized Aztec backgammon set, then printed onto leather, retaining the detail of the different grains and tones of the woods. Presented with semi-precious stone rock crystal and blue sodalite playing pieces, this handmade piece is the perfect size to take away with you on your travels.

CONSIDERED DESIGN

Inspired by our tournament-sized Aztec marquetry backgammon board, Alexandra designed the Blue Aztec Travel Backgammon Set with a more traditional layout for frequent players who prefer a cleaner aesthetic, with fewer distractions.

QUALITY CRAFTSMANSHIP

Crafted by a team of specialist leather artisans in Spain, Alexandra’s design is reproduced by a specialist printer on the calf leather. The triangles are inlaid in a similar colour to the playing surface for a tone-on-tone look that contrasts beautifully with the Aztec patterns.

DISTINCTIVE DETAILS

Presented with semi-precious playing pieces in rock crystal, the stone of awareness, and calming blue sodalite, the set opens to reveal a calf leather box containing the playing pieces, dice and leather doubling die, embossed with gold numerals.

PERSONALISE ME

A signature Alexandra Llewellyn design that translates beautifully to this travel-friendly format, the Blue Aztec Travel Backgammon can be customised with the initials, dates or handwritten message of your choice on the leather closure.

Engraving
