A bespoke Alexandra Llewellyn game tells a thousand stories. Like a photograph album or leather-bound biography, a custom design, created just for you, is an opportunity to see your subject interpreted through the eyes of an artist.
Why Bespoke?
From a unique design that commemorates a special occasion, life achievement or event to a one-of-a-kind gift for the person who has it all, commissioning Alexandra to create a bespoke game is your chance to tell a very personal story, with every element of the game imbued with meaning and significance.
A 5-STEP PROCESS
Created in close conversation with you, the bespoke process is exciting, immensely rewarding and enjoyable from start to finish. Discover the process below.
1. Decide on the product
A custom-designed marquetry or photographic backgammon board. A bespoke poker set. A chess board, tailor-made for its owner. Step one is deciding which product you would like to collaborate on.
2. A PRIVATE MEETING
In a private meeting, in person or online, Alexandra will ask questions and invite you to share your thoughts and ideas to form a vivid picture of her subject and get a better idea of what you wish to achieve with the design.
A 30% design deposit is taken at this time.
3. A DESIGN CONSULTATION
After researching the themes and subjects you have discussed, Alexandra will sketch the different design elements that best capture the essence of their subject. An initial draft of your bespoke artwork will be delivered in four weeks, with the opportunity for two revisions to enable you to confidently sign off the design.
4. MANUFACTURE
Alexandra personally signs off all the materials that will be used in your bespoke commission and oversees every stage in its creation. Collaborating with artisans and workshops throughout the UK, your bespoke game will be ready in approximately two months.
A 50% deposit is required at this time.
5. DELIVERY
Presented in a velvet pouch, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and care instructions, sustainable, custom-made packaging will protect your bespoke game as it travels to its final destination anywhere in the world.
Payment of the final balance is required prior to shipping.
