The BESPOKE Process
An extraordinary experience
Created in close conversation with the client, the bespoke commission process is designed to be exciting, rewarding and enjoyable from start to finish.
1. Decide on the Product
A photographic or wood marquetry backgammon board, cards box, poker set, chessboard, games table, jewellery box or something else? Whether it is a gift imbued with love or a bespoke creation for yourself, Alexandra and her team are here to help you choose the product that is right for you.
2. A private MEETING
In a private conversation, in person or online, Alexandra will ask questions and invite you to share your thoughts and ideas to form a vivid picture of her subject and get a better idea of what you want to achieve with the design. This is the perfect time to share any relevant imagery, for example photographs or personal effects.
Please note: a 30% design deposit is taken at this time.
3. Design CONSULTATION
Next, Alexandra will research the themes and subjects you have discussed before sketching the different design elements that will tell your unique story on the board. As a starting point for your design consultation, she will deliver an initial draft of your bespoke artwork, with the opportunity for two revisions to enable you to confidently sign off the design.
4. The craftsmanship
Sourcing the perfect materials that will bring your unique commission to life is the next stage in the bespoke process. Alexandra is meticulous about the details, overseeing every stage in the craftsmanship and collaborating with artisans and workshops throughout the UK, a process that takes approximately two months.
Please note: a 50% deposit is required at this time.
5. Delivery
Once the process is complete, which can take up to 16 weeks, your bespoke product is ready to be despatched. Presented in a velvet pouch, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and care instructions, sustainable, custom-made packaging will protect your item as it travels to its final destination anywhere in the world.
Please note: payment of the final balance is required prior to shipping.
