A limited-edition, inspired by Ibiza’s iridescent waters, our photographic Marina backgammon set is patterned with the gentle, lapping waves of the Mediterranean and accompanied by semi-precious playing pieces that reflect the bohemian spirit of this legendary Balearic Island.
I have wonderful memories of playing backgammon in the hidden coves of Ibiza and wanted to create a design that celebrates those long summer days of fun and freedom. Completely out of place in the waters of the Mediterranean, I couldn’t resist adding a few sharks to represent an opponent circling you in a game, waiting to make their killer move.

Alexandra’s favourite Spanish destination is brought to life upon the photographic backgammon board, with the topaz waters glinting in the sun. Interpreting the shimmering reflections in the waves, patterned malachite triangles personify the healing and energising beauty of nature.
In this subaquatic world, everything is not as blissful as it seems. Camouflaged by the waves, two sharks prowl just beneath the surface. A witty addition to Ibiza’s famously clear and safe waters, Alexandra incorporated the sharks in her design to reflect the thrill and tension of the game.
Designed to enhance your game of backgammon, the semi-precious stones used to craft the playing pieces – soothing, calming mother of pearl and protective amethyst – were hand-chosen by Alexandra for their hippy vibes and how well they complement the colours on the board.
