With the wisps of smoke curling upwards from the tips of the Cuban cigars, I wanted to capture a mood: of sharing a late-night game of backgammon with a friend, whisky in hand, completely in the moment.
Alexandra’s design perfectly captures the joy of playing a game of backgammon accompanied by a Cuban cigar: the warm browns of the tobacco leaves and the way in which a cigar slowly burns, releasing spirals of smoke.
Digitally printed with stunning photorealism on the board, the smoke is so lifelike you can almost detect it in the air as it drifts lazily upwards between the aromatic, aged tobacco leaf triangles.
