I have such fond memories of hunting out nature’s treasures during the long walks of my childhood. My collection of feathers inspired me to create my Pheasant backgammon board, which is quintessentially British in every sense of the word.

Featuring some of Alexandra’s favourite feathers from different species of pheasant native to the UK, alongside the stunning spotted plumage of the guinea fowl, our Pheasant backgammon board is handcrafted in Britain and housed in an oak box, sustainably sourced from trees growing in London.

An exact reproduction of an original Alexandra Llewellyn design, the beautiful colours, shapes and textures of the feathers are captured with stunning photorealism on the board, complemented by rust coloured triangles.

Digitally printed by a fine art printer in the UK in high-definition detail using archival inks, the backgammon board is lacquered by hand for a matte satin finish before being incorporated into the solid wood box by a master joiner with more than 40 years’ experience in traditional furniture craftsmanship.
